Alveary Lessons in Sloyd
While the habits and skills cultivated during sloyd, such as precision, dexterity, and mathematical concepts, make sloyd an incredibly beneficial part of a Charlotte Mason education, the written directions and diagrams can often make them confusing and intimidating. In these lessons we provide you a full year’s worth of sloyd projects at every level from Ednah Rich’s Paper Sloyd for Primary Grades (Levels 1-4) and Everett Schwartz’s Sloyd (Levels 5-6) after an introductory level which teaches young students the basics of cutting and folding. Videos and/or images walk you through each project and show you exactly how to interpret the written instructions and make each model. Young students (Grades 1-3) should begin with the introductory level, but others can begin with Level 1 and move through levels at their own pace.
