Blue Orchard Bee Teacher Training Discussion Group
Neuroatypical advocates and Mason scholars, Andy Smith and Danielle Merritt-Sunseri, created a comprehensive teacher training course for educators. This course is available for self-study at https://charlottemasoninstitute.org/the-blue-orchard-bee/. Many educators have found that they desire some accountability and mentorship during the course, however. In this facilitated multi-term study, participants will discuss the training topics and their personal challenges together. They will research and explore the specific issues that participants are facing. They will practice adapting their application of Mason’s principles to build their neuroatypical student’s relations. The course does require work on approximately a weekly basis. Sometimes this will be watching the teacher training videos and sometimes this will be assigned work on the topic. Join a supportive community of educators as we begin a deep dive into what Mason has to offer today’s neurodiverse schoolroom.
