Dr. Jen Spencer has been an educator, school administrator, and curriculum writer since 1997. With degrees in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Curriculum & Instruction, she has served in public, private, and home schools across all ages, from preschool through high school. Jen discovered Charlotte Mason in 2001. Since then, she has led study groups, founded a school,  helped digitize the archive at the Armitt Museum, and created the Alveary. She was recently appointed as a Visiting Research Fellow in Charlotte Mason Studies at the University of Cumbria, Ambleside. Jen and her husband Wes have two adult children, and their first grandchild is due any day. They live among the peach trees in Gaffney, South Carolina with their rescued English Pointer mix, Daisy Mae, who loves to go on nature walks.
